The April Crusader Is Ready for Reading!

The Spring Crusader is now available for reading. Rev Patricia has provided an abundance of church pictures from Holy Week, plus there are other important articles, such as the Prayer Shawl Ministry, the Food Pantry, the Evangelism Report, the birthday and anniversary calendar, and other church news. The Crusader is available on the church website under Mt Clinton UMC Audio and Video. (On the church website you will also find video, audio, and bulletins from the most recent worship services, memorial service audio and bulletins, suggested Bible readings, the District Newsletter, the Advocate, UM News, Devotionals from Tommy Herndon, and other informative publications). Paper copies of the Crusader are available for pickup in the church narthex. And copies are being delivered to church members unable to attend worship and with no access to the internet. If you are aware of someone who would like to receive a Crusader and has been unable to obtain one, please let Kathy or Charles know. Thanks to all who contributed to the newsletter, and to Donna Jo for her publishing skills each month. DJ's dedication is much appreciated!

At their spring 2022 meeting in May, the board of directors approved millions of dollars in grants for disaster response and recovery, global migration, global health and scholarships and leadership development. They also affirmed the allocation of $9 million from Global Ministries’ undesignated reserves to support additional areas of programming.
Roland Fernandes, general secretary of Global Ministries and UMCOR, urged directors and staff to depend on the grace of God in these times: “With all the uncertainties that continue to rage and the new complexities and challenges that keep emerging, we need to remain focused on our mission mandate, which does not change, but must of course adapt to evolving realities.”
RELIEVING DISTRESS INSIDE UKRAINE
